Support KIPP LA

For the 2008-09 school year, public funding covers only 80 percent of the costs of running KIPP LA's schools, leaving us with a $2,600 per-student shortfall. As a result, we rely on the support of generous individuals, foundations, and corporations to close our funding gap of approximately $2 million and enable us to offer the superior education we’ve promised our students.

When you give to KIPP LA, you can be sure you’re investing in an organization with a strong track record of success, and in the future of our community. Your dollars will help us fund innovative classes and programs, and purchase vital materials.

• A gift of $25,000 will fund the summer school program at one KIPP LA school for one year.
• A gift of $10,000 will underwrite the cost of purchasing eight laptops for KIPP LA students to use during class.
• A gift of $5,000 will pay for 10 KIPP LA students to attend a year-end science field lesson in Utah’s national parks.
• A gift of $1,000 will fund a college campus field trip or high school visit for 30 seventh and eighth grade students.
• A gift of $500 will help equip our schools’ science labs.
• A gift of $250 will help our schools purchase essential school supplies.

If you wish to make an in-kind donation, we are always in need of the following items:

• Recreational reading books

• Musical instruments
